The Marfa Sessions was a coordinated series of sound projects in Marfa, Texas. We developed a logotype for the exhibition, along with the catalog and promotional material. Unable to fully transmit sound pieces in print, we instead wanted to do something typographic and contextual. The logotype is (very loosely) adapted from the local post office, while the catalog uses a background color built from slight grey noise, allowing the photographs to be louder than the page itself.
