For the past few years we’ve been working with the 14th Street Y, an East Village community center. Our relationship began with an overhaul of the Y’s identity, which we’ve since applied to everything from t-shirts and catalogs to signage and a forthcoming website.
The identity itself is built around a logomark designed to reflect both the signage and buildings of East 14th Street. To emphasize the collaborative nature of a community center, the logomark is combined with colorful images, sometimes atmospheric and sometimes informative. This system plays out throughout the collateral material.
