The Helsinki Design Lab is a Finnish organization that lobbies governments to take on a “big-picture perspective” of problem solving. The site looks simple but has a complex core, with a very thorough submissions process that allows third parties to submit case studies. Our aim was to combine a playful design language with an intuitive interface.
As a side note, this is one of the very few websites for which we didn’t also design the underlying identity. In this case, we were working off a fine identity by the Spainish firm TwoPoints.Net. Coding handled by the excellent XOXCO.
