
Futureperfect is a new theater organization focused on the intersection of performance and technology. We knew it would be fun from the start — we were asked to produce an identity and website that were both unorthodox but practical.
We designed a logotype around ideas of stagecraft, with multiple actors blocked out, and electrical wiring, with its entwined color wires. The result is something that’s never seen in full; background colors or photos act as varying scenery, alternately displaying and hiding parts of the logotype.
This idea follows through to the website. Each section has a unique background color, which helps bring the logotype to life. Finally, in order to add an additional level of play and movement to the page, we built a secondary navigation that remains fixed at the bottom of the page until its content is in focus, at which point it comes to life and moves with the page.
